Innovative techniques
GÉNÉRALE DU SOLAIRE’s development strategy is focused on innovation and new technologies related to photovoltaic systems.
Responses to CRE innovation tenders
GÉNÉRALE DU SOLAIRE has developed expertise in the technologies of tomorrow, which have been used in particular in response to CRE’s calls for innovation tenders.
Storing energy in order to shave peaks, provide ancillary services or use electricity outside production hours, is the next technology frontier and open significant market perspectives for solar energy. GÉNÉRALE DU SOLAIRE has developed expertise in the field of storage technologies for photovoltaic energy (batteries, hydrogen fuel cells, vanadium, STEP, supercapacitors) as well as in their management in an autonomous system (smart energy systems, production forecasts, balancing…)

Partnerships with experts
In addition to this expertise, GÉNÉRALE DU SOLAIRE knows how to surround itself with expert partners to develop innovative solutions.
GÉNÉRALE DU SOLAIRE has forged partnerships to meet the specifications of invitations to tender, whether to take account of local roots, territorial constraints or network capacity.
For example, GÉNÉRALE DU SOLAIRE is able to use weather forecasts to plan the following day’s production down to the minute, or to install batteries to ensure that the production plan is adhered to as closely as possible, and to inject electricity at peak consumption times in the evening, when energy is most expensive and most carbon-intensive.
Innovative solutions dedicated to Non-Interconnected Zones (ZNI)
GÉNÉRALE DU SOLAIRE has developed specific solutions for Non-Interconnected Zones (ZNI), making it one of the leading players in Corsica.
GÉNÉRALE DU SOLAIRE’s in-house engineering office also has expertise in preliminary designs for hybrid power plants (coupling a solar installation with diesel generators). Intended to create high capacity isolated grids (several MWp), such installations allow for a high level of renewable energy penetration into existing grids.
By mastering these technologies, GÉNÉRALE DU SOLAIRE is actively participating in the implementation of systems to improve the quality of integration of photovoltaic energy into small and medium-sized non-interconnected grids.
- Anticipating intermittency;
- Smoothing out sudden variations in production;
- Correcting the physical characteristics of networks.

Why put your trust in Générale du Solaire?

Expertise
A key player in the sector since 2008, we are a French group, an independent green power producer and experts in solar projects. We master the entire photovoltaic project value chain, from development to operation.

Commitment to quality
and the environment
We are committed to quality in everything we do and have obtained ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications. As a member of the Soren association, we are already planning the future dismantling of photovoltaic power plants and the recycling of solar panels.

Flexibility and responsiveness
Flexibility and responsiveness are part of our DNA, enabling us to respond and adapt to the specific needs of each photovoltaic project.
