Engineering, procurement and construction (EPC)

GÉNÉRALE DU SOLAIRE has all the necessary know-how for engineering and constructing photovoltaic power plants in-house. GÉNÉRALE DU SOLAIRE offers turnkey solutions for any type of photovoltaic installation: ground mounted photovoltaic systems (mounted on fixed structures or equipped with solar trackers), rooftop-integrated photovoltaic systems built on existing or new constructions (sheds, greenhouses, parking shelters, etc.) and hybrid power plants (on grid or off-grid power plants connected to generators).

Our in-house engineering team, the project managers, and the procurement department work in close collaboration, from the preliminary engineering phase until commissioning, with the objective of optimising the management of each stage of the project and responding efficiently and effectively to project specific constraints.

ENGINEERING OFFICE

GÉNÉRALE DU SOLAIRE decided to have its own engineering office in order to be able to design any type of solar power plant in an optimal way and in order to propose a wide range of solutions adapted to the client’s needs. For instance, this enables the Group to propose innovative storage and self-consumption solutions. The main objective of our in-house engineering office is to achieve the best technical, economic and environmental performance for each of our solar projects.

The main activities undertaken by our engineering office are :

  • Technical feasibility studies
  • Power plant layout and construction plans
  • Technical studies (single line diagrams, technical and structural analysis)
  • Technological choices
  • Electrical production estimations
  • Electrical Energy yield assessments, etc.
Construction

Each solar power plant construction project is coordinated and supervised by one of our project managers. This approach allows GÉNÉRALE DU SOLAIRE to control and manage every aspect of a solar power plant construction projects.

The main activities of our construction team are :

  • Earthworks and foundations
  • Procurement, supply and delivery of photovoltaic modules
  • Supply of pre-built technical buildings and mounting structures
  • Roofing work and integration systems
  • Photovoltaic modules installation
  • Monitoring system installation
  • Performance tests, etc.

Our project managers and construction site managers, who work in very close collaboration with our in-house engineering office, share the same objectives: competitiveness, cost and time optimisation, quality, innovation and environmental care.

PROCUREMENT and LOGISTICS

The experienced procurement and logistics service of GÉNÉRALE DU SOLAIRE maintains strong partnerships with selected national and international suppliers who meet the Group’s quality requirements.

Our procurement and logistics team is in charge of :

  • Technological choice adapted to each project
  • High quality equipment
  • Purchasing costs control
  • Logistics costs control
  • Reliable delivery schedules, etc

The procurement and logistics service provides our customers and partners with a suitable choice of equipment and suppliers, while keeping the costs under control and optimising the time constraints.
